Frog Disection

             In science we dissected a frog. We dissected a frog to learn about its organs and how they're similar to humans. I found this very interesting and fun. The first thing we did was put on gloves. Then we took the scissors and cut open the frog. Once we got the skin cut we pinned it down. After that we had to cut the muscle, being careful not to cut any organs while doing so. Then we pinned that down and had a full view of the inside of the frog.

             Once we could see the inside of the frog we had to take out eggs, oviducts, and fat. When that was done we took out the liver, which secretes bile needed for digestion. Then we cut out the stomach and intestines. Our stomach had no bugs in it. Next we examined the lungs, gallbladder, and  kidneys. finally we cut out the the heart. I pried open the mouth so we got to see the tongue. Overall this was a fun experience and I hope to do more fun things in science!
