Digestion Lab

Today in science we learned about the digestion system. In this lab we had 4 different combinations of pepsin, hydrocloric acid, egg whites, and water. We saw that the test tube with only hydrocloric acid dissolved the most.  This is like digestion because the hydrocloric acid dissolved the food and that is what happen in our experiment.

In this chicken wing dissection we were examining the anatomy of a chicken wing. We got to look at the muscles, tendons, bones, fat, skin, ligaments, an cartilage. Unfortunately, we did not get to see a nerve. We saw how the skin protected the muscles and bones, and how the muscles moved the wing. It was a  good way to see this and it helped me learn about the different tissues.
